Der Gemsbergbrunnen entstand im Jahre 1360. 1794 wurde der klassizistische Stock durch einen Obelisken ersetzt.
1861 kam an dessen Stelle das heutige Bauwerk aus Solothurner Kalkstein, mit dem Gems auf dem Stock.
The Gemsberg Fountain dates back to the year 1360. In 1794, the classicist stuff had to
give way to an obelisk.
In 1861, the present monument out of limestone of Solothurn, with a chamois on its stuff,
took its place.
